EGYPTAIR is the world-renowned national airline of Egypt, based in the cosmopolitan city of Cairo. It started operations May 7th 1932 as the first airline in the Middle East and Africa and the seventh airline in the world to join IATA and become a treasured brand. Throughout its 88 years of service, EGYPTAIR has experienced significant growth.

In July of 2002, the company became a Holding Company with eight subsidiaries:

The eight subsidiaries play complementary roles in the air transport services industry.

In addition, EGYPTAIR HOLDING Company has a highly reputable and advanced Training Centre which provides training programs in various fields for EGYPTAIR and other international companies. Furthermore, EGYPTAIR Training Centre includes the latest flight simulators in the Middle East. To secure the position of EGYPTAIR in the world markets, the company strives to benchmark its operations against internationally-recognized standards. This involves obtaining and maintaining certificates by international bodies such as: IOSA –IATA Operational Safety Audit, EASA – European Aviation Safety Agency, ISO –International Organization for Standardization and ISAGO –IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations. We plan to maintain this international recognition through continuously upgrading our systems and human capital.

On July 11th of 2008, EGYPTAIR officially became the 21st member of Star Alliance. EGYPTAIR is the nation’s flag carrier and will strengthen the alliance network throughout Africa and the Middle East.

 

EGYPTAIR AIRLINES

EGYPTAIR AIRLINES is the core of EGYPTAIR HOLDING. Throughout more than 88 years of service, we have successfully extended our network to reach major destinations across the world. EGYPTAIR has been an active member of the Star Alliance since July 2008. Being a part of that huge network, EGYTPAIR customers are able to reach more destinations in 195 countries all over the globe. Also, EGYPTAIR customers will be entitled to all Star Alliance Gold and Silver benefits through EGYPTAIR Plus Loyalty Programs. 

Karnak Tourism Services: provides inbound and outbound touristic / conferencing services and operates a fleet of passenger vehicles of varying sizes specifically for tourism. 

 

EGYPTAIR CARGO

EGYPTAIR CARGO was founded in 2002 as a subsidiary of EGYPTAIR HOLDING. Since its foundation, EGYPTAIR CARGO has been on the forefront of transporting and handling general and specialized cargo.
The EGYPTAIR CARGO fleet is composed of 3 medium & long range aircrafts A330 Freighters (A3F).
The bellies of EGYPTAIR passenger planes have a significant capacity and were added to EGYPTAIR CARGO air transport capability as EGYPTAIR flies to almost 70 major international cities in Europe, USA, Canada, Africa, the Gulf and the Far East. 

 

EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING

EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING is one of EGYPTAIR HOLDING Company’s subsidiaries. It is also the only full-maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) service provider in Egypt.


EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING achieves an aggressive breakthrough in order to be a reputable independent MRO using the state-of the-art technology in providing maintenance services for different types of aircraft, aircraft’s engines and components.

 

EGYPTAIR DUTY FREE

Duty free: provides duty free retail services to passengers at nine major airport locations throughout the country as the largest duty free retailer in Egypt.  

 

EGYPTAIR GROUND SERVICES

EGYPTAIR GROUND SERVICES was the first ground handling company to operate in Egypt and in the Middle East, launching in 1938. We gained the trust of our customers over more than seventy years by serving in all of Egypt’s airports; Cairo, Borg Al Arab, Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada, Aswan, Luxor, Marsa Matrouh, Taba, Al Arish, Assuit, New Valley and Abu Simbel.

 

EGYPTAIR IN-FLIGHT SERVICES

EGYPTAIR IN-FLIGHT SERVICES pioneered the business in 1958, established as a division called: Aircraft Services and Catering Division. Then, with the restructuring of EGYPTAIR in 2002, it became an affiliate company known as EGYPTAIR IN-FLIGHT SERVICES providing in-flight services for the entire fleet of EGYPTAIR as well as other airlines. It also provides sales on board, manages cafeterias and restaurants, manufactures dry ice, and provides laundry services as well as outside catering.

 

EGYPTAIR MEDICAL SERVICES

EGYPTAIR MEDICAL SERVICES started out by offering its services only to EGYPTAIR employees and their families. Later on its services were extended to cover all civil aviation field workers. Now it offers medical services to the public, healthcare medical insurance companies and to medical tourism programs.

 

EGYPTAIR SUPPLEMENTARY INDUSTRIES

EGYPTAIR SUPPLEMENTARY INDUSTRIES was founded in April 2006. The primary purpose of the company is to fulfill the demands of the companies and authorities by conducting the following activities:

- Manufacture of non-structural items and all other plastic items used for in-flight catering services.
- Manufacture of all printed materials for administrative activities as EGYPTAIR Print house has the advantage of having the three main production stages under one roof, in addition to the manufacture of uniforms, leather, and printing of all kinds.
